Feeding Guide

Provide generous amounts of fresh grass hay every day and ensure hay is available at all times. Your pet should always have access to plenty of clean, fresh drinking water.

Different varieties of grass hay can also be mixed together to provide a range of tastes and textures, encourage foraging and add variety to your pet’s diet.

Why Is Hay So Important?

For rabbits, guinea pigs and other herbivores, hay is much more than bedding. The long-strand fibre plays an essential role in maintaining normal digestive function, while the constant chewing required to eat hay helps naturally wear down continuously growing teeth.

Providing plenty of good-quality hay every day is therefore one of the most important parts of keeping small herbivores happy and healthy.
